Set in the 23rd century on Mars, the plot follows the investigation of a murder case by the duo of private investigator Aline Ruby and her android partner Carlos Rivera. The first feature film from director Jérémie Périn. In 2018, producer Didier Creste approached him and Laurent Sarfat, creator and writer of Lastman, to work on a film adaptation of their series.

That’s what this movie does best

The visual style is reminiscent of Promare, a sci-fi cyberpunk world builder reminiscent of I, Robot. Immersive soundtrack. I also liked all the little details about future technology: the TV screen that moves wherever you look, the bottle cap that acts as another barrier to keep AA members from drinking, etc.

Especially for sci-fi lovers

I don’t think the characters have enough story to make us really care about them. It doesn’t ruin the movie, but it makes everything else better. Overall, I would recommend this.
